Default Are you part of TEAM SURPRISE?!?!?

As the title states - This has been a hot topic between some of my pregnant friends and I so i would love to open it up to bubhub! All of my friends and I would say the majority of my DIG are finding out the sex of their child at the 20 week scan (or earlier if they are lucky!) we are the seeming minority that have chosen not to know the sex until birth.
I have heard all the reasons and fierce justifications of why people DO find out the sex, but I'd love to hear your reason for wanting a surprise! Aaaaaand go!

Hmmm... I must say it is hard having a surprise for the birth. My partner and I decided that if one of us didn't want to know- that we'd wait..... I kinda want to know now just because I think we're having a boy and my beautiful man thinks we are definitely having a girl.

I'm happy to wait though because it will give me something to look forward to during the birthing experience :-)

I didnt know for the first two and did for the third. DH knew for all three and kept it a secret. I much preferred not knowing. I always insisted I'd be the one to look first. Didn't want anyone to tell me. It was such a precious moment.

We don't know & didn't want to. We will find out soon enough. I think boy & DP thinks girl so one of us will be right!
We figure you don't get many good surprises so when you can have one why not

We didn't find out with either of our boys. I loved the mystery! DH told me we had a son at my first birth and that was such a beautiful moment. We had planned to do the same with our second but the way I ended up delivering meant that I saw who we had before DH did, and I cried out 'my baby boy!'. A very special moment for us, but I understand that finding out is special no matter when it happens!

Have had 2 surprises, and so far planning to keep the sex a surprise again this time.

It's like baby's little secret, and you only get to find out when you meet them on the outside.

I really would like a surprise for my second but DH "needs" to find out as this is our first child together

I don't think he could keep it a secret

I never found out with any of mine, the first 2 it didn't faze me but the 3rd time around it drove me insane but if I have a 4th I still would not find out until the birth

Team surprise all the way here! Didn't find out either times. The surprise was magical. I can't describe it - after the hard work of labour it was such a thrill to find out the sex of the baby.
