    Default Passing Gas

This probably is a silly question, but when did your bubs start to pass gas, burps and farts, on their own? Dd is 15 weeks and still wakes up crying because she needs to fart

My daughter is 6 months old and still occasionally needs us to push her legs up to fart. At about 4 months or so though we stopped burping her after every feed, and only did it when she seemed to need it.

It seemed like our DD needed more time with this than DS. He was a real gas machine. Still is.

Doing the leg exercises has never really worked for my DS. He's 12 weeks now and will get uncomfortable when he has gas, sometimes he will pass it on his own without a drama and sometimes he will cry until he gets it out, but for us it seems that we have to just wait for him to get it out on his own, lifting his legs, bicycle legs etc don't seem to help.

One thing that does seem to get him moving is breastfeeding, my theory is that it helps because it relaxes him, but sometimes it's hard to get him to latch on if he has a tummy pain.
