I worked with 457 people and they make the same that we do. They actually were given more then the people from oz as they were given free trips home etc. the reason my company needed them as no one else would work there as there is a mine you can work in which pays double or no one was qualified.

I feel very sorry for the Australian people who have been duped by the media into voting for Abbott and Co.

Do you? I feel more angry at them than sorry for them. If you base your vote on reports from the media... sh1t. Maybe the vote should be voluntary so people who can't be arsed looking into the policies of the party they are voting for don't get to have a say.

Sadly I predict this is just the beginning of cuts to the poorest and most vulnerable.

I should maybe have phrased it better. They are starting to announce the vast array of disadvantaging cuts they will carry out - on the least fortunate. I hope the senate blocks them.

I thought he was going to "govern for all Australians!" But I guess he forgot to add... I will govern for all Australians, but only if you're white, Christian and earn over 100k!

Yes because I refuse to believe that any one who is well educated and able to understand how a society should work would vote for the Liberals.

Therefore I can only believe that many people who did vote for him and are not narcissistic or cruel, did so because every time the Liberals get in they make cuts to institutions that will help make the average person more informed. Many intelligent people are stuck in situations that do not enable them to get ahead, much less critique the media.

People are also brain washed by the media all the time, and if Abbott has his way we lose any balance whatso ever.
