Default A good thing to come out of this election is......

Another positive election thread. Looks like the majority of people on the Hub are hoping (in vain?) for a Labour win. Given that's highly unlikely, it's time to start focussing on the good things this election has brought us and will bring us.

Like, how entertaining BH has been over the last few weeks and how much I'm looking forward to scrolling through the post election threads tomorrow :-D

Oh, and on a serious note, how I've finally decided to educate myself a bit more about Australian politics.

And how it's highly unlikely we'll ever see TA in budgie smugglers again, because really, what PM in their right mind would wear budgie smugglers in public?

I dunno about this. Ppl said the same thing about not seeing a PM in a tracksuit after Howard lost power, but Rudd was in one, talking to Obama on the phone last week.

I'm sorry to giggle, but you just used the name Tony Abbott in the same sentence as the words 'in their right mind', hee hee hee

Regardless of what happens at least it'll be the end of the propaganda in the postbox and unsolicited political phonecalls for a while- we may even get some time in the news bulletins for some actual news again or a couple of fluff pieces about odd animal friendship or something equally inane, yay!

I'm hoping for a BH blackout on the election after tonight. Won't be much to say once the result is in.

I was so excited about this!

A positive for me.. I now won't have to read all of the statuses from people voting for the first time who have no clue and are just wasting their vote.

    I love Ron

    Ron Burgundy for PM!!

PS. I'm not surprised to find this spelling mistake on a parenting forum, but the party is spelt "Labor". The birthing process is labour hehe

One good thing I've found to come out of this election? I've discovered all my friends feel passionately about the same issues as I do, this makes me happy
