Thanks for that Vix I'm more than happy to join in on the hub while she is going through the process because she finds talking to me enough and doesn't want to read too much about it. I share what I read with her but she has studied medical/science in the past so would rather not know certain things to avoid being stressed out.... Soooo I do all of that for her! Thanks for letting me know about the possibility of the dates being way out as well. She has PCO to be honest part of me is expecting them to cancel the cycle due to OHSS - we would be gutted

That's very exciting about going to Greece! Fingers crossed the lapo goes smoothly and you can be all well and recovered before you go to Greece

Welcome Toni!! Take a seat on the lounge lol - there is room next to me

My husband though I'd compeltely lost my mind - he wasn't far wrong. Good luck for it all! But given this is your first cycle, don't have too many expectations about dates just yet, I remember being really disappointed when the "usual" timeframe was really stretched out. Some girls grow follies fast and others (e.g. me) are slow, lets hope the clinic's guesstimate is right though cos it's easier to plan around and the wait is so much easier when you know how long its going to be!

Omg Vixjc, this is my first cycle and I have been second guessing if I have the Day One correct haha. You are absolutely right. It's great to be able to ask ladies on bubhub.

Lol.. Not sure that day 1 matters so much with a down reg cycle?! I understand why it causes confusion though! We are only at the start of what I am sure will be a long journey and already we have had moments where we don't know what's going on and also butterfly moments when we chose our donor etc

Two girls, one dream and baby you are it!

I'm gonna have trouble keeping up with you all because I only have access on my phone, but I am definitely reading all and taking everything in

Welcome to all the new ladies. A little update from me - we finally had our paperwork completed and have our appointment on Friday to pick up the meds and learn to do these damn injections. Then is just the wait for AF next week. I am starting IVF acupuncture Friday too, has anyone else done this? Apparently on egg retrieval they will do a session both pre & post?!

Hi ladies... Our group is growing along nicely! It's going to be hard to keep track of everyone!

I am doing accupuncture and did so for my last cycle too, along with Chinese herbs. I've read it can improve chances, and I have found on some days it just helps me to relax (I'm an anxiety sufferer). I have sessions once a fortnight and then pre and post transfer. Not sure if it does anything, but it makes me feel better to know I am trying what I can to help get a BFP. Anyone else have any things they like to try?

we are with Fertility Specialists South freakedout. That's interesting to hear about the ha-icsi/picsi, will ask the nurse about it next visit. Vixjc, when you did the extra dose what did they say, you wouldn't believe what I did, the night of my trigger I had to wake at 2am to do it, I really should have looked at it again before I was to use it, they did show me how to use it weeks ago but for some reason I got so stressed I couldn't use it, I rang the nurse, yes at that time in the morning, found out it was something so simple I just needed to do, felt like an idiot. Hope I don't have to do that at that time of the day again lol. Hope everything goes nice and smooth for the lap, exciting about going to Greece, I have been to Corfu, many years ago, such a beautiful place. Welcome Toni So ready, I do acupuncture, I generally go once every 2 weeks, coming closer to my cycle I will go weekly and make sure I go close to ER and ET I get to do one this cycle, this has to go better than last

i am wondering if I can join this thread? I am looking to start my IVF journey in October, around the 24th, that's if AF is on time!

A bit about me. I am turning 30 in November and am blessed with a little boy who turns 5 also in November. This July, I had a lap to remove severe endo and to remove my left fallopian tube. Apparently my amh is good however with all the mucking around, naturally conceiving was quickly slipping away and was told to hop on the IVF bandwagon ASAP.

I am am with QFG in Brisbane and as I said, look to start around 24th October. I will be on a global cycle, starting with puregon then oragulatron. Not too sure of the dosages, but with polycystic ovaries, I hope the dose is just right.

I am very anxious about the injections (side effects) and of course, the heartbreak of failure.

If anyone is near these dates, I would love the company.

and best of luck to everyone here xx
Hi Toni Welcome and best of luck on your journey I am starting my second round of IVF in October and start stimming on the 20th (if AF is on time) so close to you. I have just changed clinics and FS so hopefully this round will be our lucky one. The first injection is always the hardest but once you do that you get used to it very quickly. As you have to inject at precise times I found myself having to inject in a few car parks and toilets at restaurants last time lol! Sending lots of Your way You are one of the lucky ones and get your BFP first time

I eat the pineapple core for 5 days after transfer too along with my acupuncture freakedout. I love love love my acupuncture! It makes me feel so good( I too suffer from anxiety) I started having it purely for IVF but now don't think I could live without it
