Do you think ppl who love talking about money are the competitive types and those who can't be stuffed are a bit more content??

Not necessarily, I think particularly online where you have the choice of what you choose to share, how much you talk about it is probably dependent on how important it is in your life and how important it is to the image you wish to present of yourself. If a lack of money made your day to day life particularly difficult I imagine it would take up a lot of your time, thoughts etc and naturally come into your discussions. I suspect the same goes if your life is directly enhanced by money.

Also if being wealthy is important to your self image you would probably mention it a lot. I can think of someone who constantly makes reference to how good looking they think they are, it obviously plays a key role in how they feel about themselves and how they wish others to see them.

Yes I do agree with you there!!

The one thing I do love about this thread and similar money ones, is that it really gives you insight into what ppl prioritize their spending on. And also makes me feel like ppl can be too judgemental of what their friends or family spend their money on. I think, if no ones complaining about having no money, then all power to them if they want to rack up huge debt and buy new things every other day or holiday three times a year. If ppl havr issues with it...I think jealousy is coming through there
