    Default Insomnia or not sleeping well during pregnancy

    Hi, so it's 12:18 am and I've been lying here since 10:30 trying to sleep! I heard many people in pregnancy have trouble sleeping, any tips or advice? It's odd cause during the day I'm exhausted! But when I finally get to bed I can't sleep!

    Here are my tricks:

    Snack before bed if you wake up hungry (I do);
    If I wake up for the loo, only open 1 eye! And I dont allow my mind to wander;
    No screen time before bed, just reading a book;
    No looking at my phone if I do wake up in the middle of the night

    I battled with this both pregnancies. Was worse with dd. I found getting out if bed and sleeping on the couch or on mattress on floor helped - I think it tricked my body from the cycle of tossing and turning in bed.

    Remember lying still is still good for you in terms of rest and repairing, if you aren't sleeping you can still be resting.

    It sucks! So not fun. My sympathies.
