Default Eucalyptus oil - very worried

I didn't realise that eucalyptus oil is dangerous during pregnancy but after looking on Google it seems quiet dangerous! I am freaking out because I used it for cleaning the floors today (it touched my skin as I was pouring it into the water and again as a rung out the mop a few times). I also used it a couple weeks back on a tissue and a few drops o my pillow at night to help with a stuffy nose.
    I'm 34 weeks.
Should I call my mw?? Nothing on Google is telling me exactly why it is dangerous in pregnancy just that it is. I'm so upset that I may have harmed bubs

I put it in the humidifier beside my bed most nights.... I haven't had any problems with it. If you google anything you can find its bad in pregnancy!
The Vicks vapo steam liquid has euco in it and the pharmacist said it was fine in pregnancy.

In what ways could it affect the baby?

Its not a good idea to ingest it.

    So don't drink it!

I don't know I've been trying to find answers but everything just says not to use it in pregnancy but doesn't state why

I use eucalyptus oil all the time, I was not aware of any contraindications for pregnancy. I think you will be fine.

I agree with MissF, I think as long as you aren't drinking it, you'll be fine

I was a doula for a woman who was obsessed with the smell of eucalyptus oil throughout her pregnancy, she used to put drops on a piece of cloth and tie it around her wrist so she could lift it to her nose and when she wanted, she even had us do it for her while she was in labor. I think cleaning with it or smelling it is probably fine, I've never heard otherwise. Call your midwife and ask her if you're really worried.

    Is it pure Eucalyptus oil?

It can't "harm" the baby (unless you drink it) but inhaling, and absorbing LARGE amounts through skin can cause the uterus to contract.
It can also cause blood pressure to rise.
But honestly, you will have to inhale, rub it in your skin frequently and in large amount for it to really do any of the above.

Washing the floors and a few drops here and there, I wouldn't be worried
Plus, you would have felt the above effects by now if it was going to be an issue.

Eucalyptus oil is extremely toxic if its taken orally. That's where you will run into trouble (I doubt anyone would drink Eucalyptus oil anyway)

    Oh and don't google!
My dog was apparently about to kneel over and die from an itchy ear last week
