Default Plane activities for 8 month and 23 month olds???

    Hi all.

I'm about to go to America with 2, 8 month olds and a 23 month old. Does anyone have any suggestions of activities I can take aside from DVDs books and pencils? I am hoping that they sleep at least half the flight... Hoping I did say :-) but would like some suggestions of smallish activities I could take along.

We just did a Hawaii trip with a nearly-2 yr and 3.5 yr old. They both enjoyed playing toddler apps on our galaxy tab, but I bought a $40 portable DVD player to play their favourite movies as well. The battery won't last the entire trip but it was well worth the money spent so that they could chill out a bit.

Otherwise removable stickers and matchbox cars help us a bit and don't take up much room.

A small bag with some new toys. We have 2 boys, so had some small cars and toys. Stickers on the baby's hand - takes them a while to peel them off. iPad with toddler apps and also movies they will watch. Books to read. Travel sized magna doodle.
Small animals. Party blowers were really popular with our two.

Another bag with lots of snacks for the kids. Whatever you need to get them
Through. We had sultana packs, Oreos, raffertys packs, individual snack packs of tinned fruit.

Try to stick to their normal routine as much as possible.

Were the party blowers annoying for the other passengers or were they not able to get them to make the noise?

Oh and I have all sons so we have lots of cars to take along, we've saved a few new matchbox cars for the plane ride.
