If you pop kids in the back row the middle seat anchor points go straight over their heads. I had my dd2 in the back row but dd1 in middle row both behind the driver.

In hindsight its better to put the bigger child in the back row as they can get themselves in and out.

When our third bub arrives hopefully next year I will put both my girls in the back row and bub in the middle behind the driver.

We had the oddessey which was great bit then they made the ford territory 7 seater diesel so we swapped. Absolutely awesome and great on fuel. Both are probably out of your price range though unfortunately.

We could have gone the prado but both hubby and I had them as work cars and found them tinny for country outback driving and I always got a sore back, not comfy at all.

Bought a second hand Volvo XC90 (new ones are exxy). It has a split third row and
even with both seats up, there is decent boot space. I often need to have six people in the car so the split rear seat is a must have (first world problems!)

Oooooh I am coveting the new pathfinder so badly!!!! A big contender for our next car once the lease is up on the SV6 sportwagon we have now. Pity I have to wait another 3 years *sigh*

DH refuses to even look at the territory.

Just watch the pathfinders... they are notorious for going through gear boxes/transmissions
