Default Cereal for under 2yr olds/breakfast ideas

I just read how rice cereal is meant to be so bad.. I have been feeding ds wheatbix or this rice cereal with chunks like cornflake chunks etc by nestle.
Anyway now I have bought Cheerios as I read they have a lot of goodness in them.
Looking for healthy alternatives from wheatbix because ds needs to eat something else!
When I give toast he doesn't eat much. Would rather give a cereal then toast if he wants it.

Look in the health food section, there's a few really good cereals. I don't remember the name but there's one with a gorilla on the front it's really yummy. I get puffed corn for DD but she eats it like its popcorn on its own. Oats are good and muesli with yogurt to change it up a little.

To keep breakfast interesting instead of toast or cereal some days I give DS banana pancakes, crumpets, raisin toast or fruit salad and yoghurt.

Great ideas! I have done banana pancakes too but he just doesn't seem to eat as much when it's a finer food. If I help him with the spoon he eats more.
Musli and yogurt sounds great too I think he will like that. Anything with yogurt on top actually.
Will try what you all have suggested thanks

My 15 month old has oats with berries and yoghurt. She likes to feed herself and does it quite well with a spoon

Porridge or just some plain puffed corn or rice (nothing added)

Porridge with fruit, or those freedom cereals from the supermarket are good (and gluten free).

    Lots of yummy replies!

Banana is a good addition to any cereal. We generally have either weetbix or porrige with banana & cinnemon. Weetbix and yoghurt is a favourite too.
