Ok, so say if a hubber lived relatively close to this person and happened to be passing and wished to drop something back in their letterbox, what do you think it should be?

    Just hypothetically speaking of course...

Actually, no, scrap that. I've had another read of it and I've changed my mind now, he's won me over. I'm going to vote for which ever party this G Duffy endorses because I want my children to have a Mum and Dad.

    Bwahahahahaha

Ok, I couldn't do it and keep a straight face.

I'm wondering if this bloke needs a little education about the birds and the bees...

Moreover, has anyone had their child being taught about gay and lesbian marriage in kindy or school? DS certainly hasn't. We've introduced the concept at home with story books because he has non-standard-issue people in his extended family, oh, and I'm trying to raise my children to be accepting of ALL people, with the exception of close minded phukwits.

But fascinatingly, the name on the letter that I got can be traced back to a financial planner in the city, at his place of business. His workplace might need to find out about his prejudices.

This letter be waiting in the inbox when they come in to work on Wednesday

I write in relation to the correspondence that I received with your name and your business address too. I personally found this correspondence curious and somewhat troubling. Curious that you should be disendorsing a candidate on the basis of their potential stance on who people are allowed to marry, and worrying that you should be so unabashed in your stance to restricting 2 people in a loving and committed relationship from formalising and legalising their relationship.

That you would attach your name to a document that so manipulatively uses the image of a teary eyed child to limit the right of access to the institution of marriage saddens me. I do so hope this child never knows that his image has been used in such a way.

Mr Baker, if you are truly concerned for the rights of children, and for giving children what they need, perhaps you could turn your time and attention to a worthy childrens charity, to ensuring children entering foster care have access the sufficient personal items and clothing, toys, appropriate footwear. This is how you could truly help children. Your focus on the children of same sex couples is misguided because these children are usually so loved, wanted and fought for. Please consider focusing your attention on positively helping children and not filling my letterbox with hateful messages.

    Kind regards,
    SPG

DD1 was exposed to the concept in preschool- her preschool actually made headlines for reading kids books with two mud or two dads etc. when I enrolled her they warned me that they were THAT preschool But in school? Nope. At home, definitely.

This is very tempting. A petition against their ad campaign, perhaps?

Really? We can't link to Mamamia?!

Given BubHub's demographic is that really a thought-through decision? Mamamia is hardly just another parenting forum, it's a widely-read, widely-discussed collection of current affairs, articles and blogs.

If BubHub limits what its members can discuss to this extent, I'd like to gently suggest it needs to prepare itself for the fact they will discuss such things elsewhere.
