I'm not sure if this website has been discussed, but I found it absolutely pathetic. You should not have to resort to constant swearing in order to get your message across. If you do, then your message probably isn't very strong. I can't see how anyone can think that this sort of advertising is beneficial to their cause. I guess it has had 1000's of likes, but I think that also says something about people of the left. Hate speak.

I won't link to the actual site, but I'm sure you can fill in the blanks.

The pamphlet was not endorsed or printed by the labor party nor the candidate in that electorate.

And let's get this straight...labor are most certainly not left. They are left of the Libs.

I know. But the guy putting it in the letterbox was wearing an ALP shirt. There is at least a connection there.

Did you just make that up? Do you think that Labor is on the right of the political spectrum?

Did you find that website appropriate? Did you 'like' it?

They are centre IMO. Some of their policies have been more right than the libs. The greens are left!

    "In your opinion".
Did you note where they were placed on the 'Vote Compass'? Maybe you should write to the ABC and tell them why your opinion is a more accurate placement of the ALP on the political spectrum.

I think the point is that the whole debate about same sex marriage has made the institution of marriage seem much more important and that it has to be a fundamental part of a strong, committed relationship. I think they are saying 'let's push for marriage to become more outdated, not push make the idea of marriage stronger". As an analogy - it's like saying that you want to be accepted by Family First, instead of saying that you reject what they stand for.

Anyway, all I'm saying is that it is not a discriminatory point of view to hold.

If I recall, they were the party closest to the center on the compass.

About the same distance as the LNP. Very clearly on the left though.

Back to the point. Was that website appropriate. Did BigRedV 'like' it?

If you think the ALP are left wing then you need to go back and look up what left wing actually is. Both the ALP and Libs have moved towards the centre to appeal to the most amount of people.
The ALP are the right wing party, the Libs are the very right wing party.
