    Smile Hornsby hospitals

    Hi everyone,
I'm 5 weeks pregnant and now looking into my options. We are unsure whether to go with private or public hospital. Any recommendations/advice re hornsby public hospital? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I gave birth at Hornsby and booked in again for my second. Absolutely wonderful experience and can't speak highly enough of the midwives and the support!! Also it's a new maternity ward, you get your own room after birth. Looking forward to returning.

My first was a San baby and my second (in tummy!) will be at the San for sure - it was incredible!

I had a miscarriage at hornsby and a baby at the san, I loved the san but I needed the nurses there with the breastfeeding support over the 4 days, at hornsby you will be going home overnight or given the option of leaving after a few hours. Choose the san its fantastic, food so yummy and you can tick the food options twice, a little fridge in room for your champagne. Nurses are the best.

Depends if it's your first baby. Hornsby hospital talked me into staying there 3 nights as I was having latching issues with breast feeding. They were nothing but fantastic!

Having a private new room in a public hospital is a bonus too!!
