Id be pretty angry if peolle did that with pics I post of dd on fb.

I used to have certain family members on fb but not anymore because they were sharing the pictures of my dd and showing my bio dad. She doesnt know him and I want to keep it that way (he has sexually abused me and a few others I know) so dont want him knowing anything about us.... and that him includes seeing pictures of dd.

So yeah, my privacy settings are high and noone can see anything i post that im not friends with.

I have one friend who'd tag herself in all my kids photos so it'd get shared with all her friends too, but I put a stop to that real quick. It's just rude

If doesn't bother me, I figure it's just a photo, my child is safe at home with me. I would be annoyed at someone if I asked them not to do something and they continued to do it, maybe just ban them from taking photos of your kids at all

I don't mind people taking photos of DD and posting them. Often it's easier to share photos that way. However I would not allow any photos of her naked (she's only six months but i think it's inappropriate at any age). However if i want to post a pic that has someone elses child in it i always check with the parent first. A lot of people I know are uncomfortable with pictures of their child being posted OP you're not alone!

I don't like people posting pics of my DS without asking. Luckily no one does.

But something interesting I saw if you are posting pics from an iPhone, some ransoms can actually track your kid down if your settings are wrong, they see the pic, if they don't know the location they can somehow find that in the background of the pic settings if your camera location settings are 'on'

    Hope I explained that right

My stepmum used to do this and I hated it. I rarely if ever put photos of my kids on facebook and I did not want someone else doing it. I read somewhere that it is actually illegal to put photos of children under 18 on facebook without parental permission and you can ask facebook to remove them from the persons account. She doesn't so much now which is good.

I'm careful with my own security settings and don't allow randoms to see photos of my child so I don't get why people think its ok to post photos of your child without your permission.
Am I alone in hating this?
This recently caused a huge argument & blow out resulting in my cutting my mother from my life. COMPLETELY

I asked her to change her profile pic as she had a pic of my children & several people I don't know had commented on how adorable they are along with one quote "gorgeous like their grandma" which I found disturbing & made me sick to my stomach from some Middle Aged man I don't know.
So that sparked a huge blue when I asked her to take it down

It doesn't bother me personally, though I would want to be tagged in the picture or album or made aware it was there.

If I'm sharing pictures of my kids and friends kids are in them I'd ask first and tag them so they can see them too. If they said no, I'd either not upload that picture or crop them out. I might have unthinking done it if there's another child in the background bur I wouldn't hesitate to take it down if asked I'd be mindful to not even take a picture if that child is around - it hasn't come up though but I don't think it's a big deal to respect a parents wishes.

I don't have a Facebook account but my sister, SIL and aunty always put up photos of DS apparently, they love him to bits so I think its cute , does not bother me in the slightest , they are his family and they just love sharing cute pics!
