How funny that you started this thread. I am in the emotional black hole due to sickness. It sucks. Hating it!

When df is home I'm a sook. I whinge, whine, mope.

When df is at work I soldier on. Even if the kids are at school/daycare.

If its just a cold I'm ok, I get on with what I have to do. If I have a tummy ache, or there's a possibility I may vomit, its a whole different ballgame. I have a phobia of vomit, and think about it daily. Not a nice way to be.

In our house I'm the one that gets man flu! DH has to be at deaths door before he takes a day off work. He once caught botulism and soldiered thru till lunchtime, came home & eventually went to the gp because I nagged and nagged. We later found out several of his workmates were hospitalised.
He makes me look like such a wuss! I don't get sick very often but when I do it knocks me about and I usually take to my bed (thankful for carers leave ha ha). There's no way I can out do dh so why bother?!

I collapse in a heap and can't imagine ever being healthy again. I try to find someone to help me with dd but luckily she is old enough now to generally look after herself with minimal input from me.
