Default 7 weeks after IVF - spotting and cramping

Hi everyone.. I got my first BFP a couple of weeks ago, and ever since have been so sick - terrible nausea so I haven't really eaten anything except dry crackers and plain pasta. Yesterday I went to hospital as I felt dehydrated, I just couldn't make myself drink anything. I had a scan last Thursday and although small there was a heartbeat of 128bpm. My HCG levels have been rising from a really strong 3400, to 13000, to 78000 last Monday. After years of fertility treatment we allowed ourselves to get happy!! Now this morning I have woken up with dark brown discharge, some really slight cramping, and my morning sickness has definitely eased. I'm so worried now, I don't even want to get up out of bed. I'm due for a scan with my FS on Thursday, but I don't really want to wait that long. Do you think there's any point in trying to get in early? I've been off work for 10 days now as I've been too sick to go in, but right now feel like I could go in, that's how much better I feel. Which is more worrying than anything.

It's an awfully worrying time but can I just let you know that I had brown discharge etc at 9 weeks after ivf and carrying twins. My girls are now perfectly healthy10 week old babies! It was terrifying (mine was on xmas!) and I went to a gp and checked twice with a scan in his office during that time to set my mind at ease. I was told by ob that if it is brown and doesn't progress to red quickly, chances are it's ok. Look after yourself. I hope you have the same good fortune and it's all fine. xo

I had red blood at 15+6w, but no cramping. My OB saw me a few hours later and all was good. My IVF bub is now 16 months old.

I would see a doc sooner than Thursday though.

If its old blood (brown), that sounds promising. Some cramping/twinges are normal during pregnancy. I'd say not to worry, but I know how useless that advice is.
