    Default Baby wearing through airport

Not sure if this is a silly question but can you baby wear through airport security or will they make me take my carrier off? I'm flying to Sydney solo with dd on wednesday and I'm trying to figure out the best way to navigate the airport!

It depends. I had my bub in my ring sling once, and it had metal rings, so of course set the metal detector off, (never occurred to me!) and the woman was really nasty to me, and made me take bub out, put the sling through the xray machine, and walk through holding bub.

Another time, no metal on the baby carrier, but the customs agent insisted bub come out of the sling anyway.

Depends entirely on who you get on the day. I'd say hope for them not harrassing you, but be prepared to dismantle the sling/carrier/wrap if necessary.

They ask you to remove bub from the carrier. We've gone through with an ergo and also a Sleepy wrap and had to remove the carrier/wrap and place through scanner.

I've been asked to remove my ergo each time I've gone to airport.

Yes. Always have to remove baby. Even from a sling with no metal

I'd still absolutely baby wear though. Soooooooo much easier. Heck, I even baby wore my three year old.

I just flew to Europe and back and they would sometimes let me go through security with baby in the ergo.
