We bought from Baby on the Run last year when the Aus dollar was really strong, I don't know how prices will compare to Aus now. We just emailed them and they sent us all the info including a ref number and quote for the parcel forwarding service they use. I personally found them great to deal with.
Yes any issues have to be dealt with through Baby Jogger US. That's the chance we took as we realised it would cost us more if we had to pay for shipping back and forth in the future but we felt it was worth it considering how much we saved on the initial purchase. I've been extremely happy with my Versa so far though and can't foresee having any issues in the near future.
