THanks...its so frustrating!! My brother in law is a chemist and reckons it should have been out of my system by day 10 which is when I took the test....anyway I wont hang my hopes on that though...my HPT comes home tomorrow so excited if its darker then I'm onto a winner! Bloods are booked for the following weekend all being well even though that is 20 days past ovulation.

Growing up, I was repeatedly told how easy it was to get pregnant. It was all lies, LIES I tellz ya!

I know it's not over till AF rears her ugly unwanted head. All this is confirming my fears that at 31 my fertility is faulting. My mother went into early menopause at 45ish and I'm petrified I will suffer the same fate which leads me to believe that my dreams of 1 let alone two are fading. All this is so disheartening...
Completely hear you on the lies bit lol. But wanted to say - there's a big difference between 31 and 45 - nearly 15 years - think about how long growing from age baby to age 15 is - AGES, so even if fertility drops off a bit 5 or so years before menopause, you've still got at least 5 good years imho (disclaimer: I'm not a doctor or anything 'but I reckon' always is a good rule of thumb lol). My brother (who is a doctor) keeps going on and on at me about how if I stress it won't happen, and that's the key thing. (Easy for him to say - he knows they can't have kids as he's infertile due to cancer treatment!)

I'm sure before you know it you'll be UTD and then another will follow bam! bam! Weds is MILES away - a lot of people don't get a BFP until the DAY AF is due, if not a lot later - read the stats on the box - only something like 30% of people get a positive any days before the day AF is due! tiny tiny tiny odds!. Chin up!

(Some of us are knocking on a bit at 34, with a hubby of 43, and are totally convinced it will happen when it happens. Just be nice if that was now LOL)

And for anyone else stressing about age - just read the perfect thing to come up on my facebook feed, from Adelaide Baby Bargains, they did a 'post how old you were when you had your first baby' and yes there were a few 22/23/24 year olds, but LOADS of 31/33/40/43 year olds as well

One lady said "I had my first ( and only ) at 30 - he was born a couple of days before my 31st birthday & I couldn't get over how many nurses noticed it was my birthday and said oh your such a young mum!
I didnt think almost 31 was a young mum!"

So its official - we're not old or getting on a bit and there is LOADS of time Hurrah
