Has anyone here had their partner/husband go in for sperm quality testing at the very beginning of TTC?

I'm just wondering if it's worth doing now or just wait and see if we get many more BFN cycles.

We've been trying for 9 cycles now (I think this is no 10), and DH is making the appt tomorrow for his SA. Usually they say wait for 12 months, or 6 months if you're 35 or over. I'm turning 35 next month so we're getting onto it now. I think it also costs a bit, but not sure how much (I guess we'll find out soon).

How long have you been TTC for?

We did after 3 months & it cost $145 ( for semen analysis and antibodies screen-you need both). We went private and you claim through Medicare.

Thanks for the replies ladies I figured we'd give it a good 6 months before we worried about any testing.

It's only been 2 cycles so far and last night DP said "shouldn't we have had 2 babies by now!" bless
