    Why not! You could arrange it as lunch or afternoon tea with your friends so no formal games etc.
    Its a chance to catch up with the girls, never enough of those!

    I love giving gifts and so do my friends & family. I don't see that as a bad thing. So, the option of a baby shower for #2 (who was coming nearly 5 years after #1 and was a girl instead of a boy) was fine for me I thought. It had the added bonus of allowing me to catch up with lots of my friends & family who I hadn't seen for AGES and honestly wasn't going to see for a good chat for a while.

    Baby shower #2 was great. I ran it (heck, why not!?) and mum & my aunt did the catering with some help from me. I had some great games that had everyone in stitches and yet not embarrassed or bored. As I was having a girl I got heaps & heaps of pretty dresses of various sizes/colours/etc . I put on the invite that presents weren't needed, but everyone (20+ people) ignored that completely.
