With the given view that seems to prevail here it means that my view is wrong and harsh and equates with racism.
Therefore Christian religion should be banned as should any other religion that does not support samE sex marriage.
If someone up holds bible values the. They must be stupid prejudice idiots.
To say that there should be same sex marriage is to say the bible is wrong, god is wrong. Or maybe it is simply that those who want to marry same sex do not believe the bible or only believe parts of it
To say my view wrong is to say to believe in god and the bible is wrong. Then it not only becomes an issue of human rights as some say but a case of religious vilification.
I have my views. I don't decide on the law and will not vote for or against, but I am bad to hold my view by so many on this thread.
As I said ... I should never have posted here. There are many I am sure who are not for but refrain from stating such because they still like you and want to be friends. You who are strongly for. I like you and still want to be friends but just happen to be fool enough to share my view and be judged for it.

I don't really understand why people have a problem with it......I 100% support gay marriage as I have numerous family members and friends that are missing out.
And unless people actually live according to the Bible 100% I don't believe they should be allowed to use their religion as a reason to dislike homosexuality. It just becomes a fluffy blanket for them to hide behind when they go "HAH! Nope. No equal rights for you. My God says so!" And then claim religious vilification if people call them on their crap.
Dave, your view is outdated - just like that book you seem to be hiding behind.

Just love those folks who pick and choose from their bibles and hide behind god to justify their personal prejudices.

Yes I support it. I don't see a good enough reason to make me think they shouldn't.

Second, if you're a Christian, then your rules are the Ten Commandments of Jesus. Not one of those alludes to homosexuality at all.

Thirdly, I can categorically state that no, none of my friends secretly are anti same sex marriage, in fact many of them are more active than I am in crusading for it. You think people can't tell how you feel about it but believe me, they can. Your stepdaughter can. When you're so aware of scrutiny, you can smell it a mile away even if it's being hidden by a jolly demeanour.
Fourthly, there are plenty of Christian churches that support gay marriage, that have gay priests and preachers. Religion is an institution, faith is personal and hiding behind organised religion as an excuse for prejudice is cowardly.
And fifth, yes I see your view as akin to be anti interracial marriage. You are against something that doesn't hurt you because of your own fragile sensibilities. Let's call a spade a spade shall we?
You may be new, you may be friendly to everyone but it doesn't give you or anyone a free pass to have 'opinions' without being questioned about them.
Anyway, I thought you said you didn't practice religion? If you are using religion as a reason to not support marriage equality then what are your opinions on atheists or people of non-Christian religions getting married?
ETA: If God is opposed to marriage equality then shouldn't s/he get to judge and not us mere mortals?
