    Default Another missed miscarriage?

Can I get some thoughts please?

I had a blood test at 14dpo (4 weeks pregnant) and the levels were 114.

Another blood test at 26dpo (5+5 weeks pregnant) and levels are only 392.

No symptoms at all. I don't feel pregnant.

Do you think this is pointing to another missed miscarriage? I have a scan booked in for tomorrow but I know we won't see anything. I really don't want another D&C.

I didn't have many symptoms at 5.5 weeks. I think it's quite normal not to have any at that point.
Your levels looked good, so I'd be inclined to take those as a positive and not read anything into lack of symptoms.
Remember some women have zero symptoms and don't even know they are pregnant!

But my hcg levels should be in the thousands by now shouldn't they? If they've only slowly increased like they have then doesn't this point towards a miscarriage?

No from what I am gather as long as they double (which they did between 4 and 5) it's fine.
I've just checked the lab levels at work (I'm a nurse) and it says
25-200IU/L for 3-4 weeks ( you had that)
    200-1000IU/L for 4th, 5th or 6th week
So you are perfectly within range!!

But they are supposed to double within approximately 48 hours aren't they?
It's been over a week between my tests so they should have risen a lot more?

    I'm so confused

I'd just go by the lab levels I just gave you. You fit into normal ranges! That's good news!

    Thanks BubblesK.

My GP just rang and is a little concerned. She has ordered more bloods to be done tomorrow so we'll see what the results come back as on Friday.
