Default This dress for a masquerade ball... on me? In what colour? Or another style? HELP!

I'm going to my work's Masquerade Ball Christmas Party later in the year and need a dress. It needs to be full-length.

Here's me (in a form-fitting dress so you can see my shape): 1187166_10151839869173846_1081892778_n.jpg

I'm about a size 12, but am difficult to fit, because my measurements are not standard (waist is 12 inches smaller than bust/hips). Therefore I need to get a dress made to measure.

I tend to dress fairly vintage-inspired most of the time, and obviously want to continue with that kind of trend.

I am not really happy with my arms, so need to be able to cover them a little, hence the sleeves. I also need to be able to wear a bra... again, hence the sleeves.

I also am considering wearing this with my corset (excuse the bra-shot): Untitled.jpg
But is this over-doing the curve?

AND... I have no idea what colour. Ideally, my hair colour will be a light brown by that stage. I'm currently working towards that... previously it was pretty dark.

I am not really a fan of red or black - they're too stereotypical for me.

My mask will likely be a black lace (we're all wearing the same one... our salon is using it to unify us or something)... but I can always use accessories to bring colour in, rather than outright wearing black.

    SO... I need help. http://www.4bridesmaid.com.au/mermai...ses-bd500.html

Is that dress a good choice? Do you have any other suggestions? I don't want to spend more than $250 and as I said, I need to be able to have it made to suit my measurements. Just going in to a store doesn't work - I need to go up to at least a size 20 and then have the rest brought in... and I'm just unwilling to limit myself to plus-sizes if I don't have to.

So any thoughts, colour advice, even style advice and other suggestions would be great! I've got to commit to this soon, so it's ready in time, and I'm starting to panic a bit.

I'm not very good with the colour aspect. So I'm not much help, but you will look great, curves are so hot and your body is amazing, if you've got it flaunt it....... especially at a ball!

Also love the dress, its beautiful.

Love the dress. Colour wise maybe burgundy or the regency blue?

I would go clover. Anything too dark will look a bit evil queen imo. And I would ditch that belt, it looks a bit cheap. But the cut is great.

Ta guys. Now I have to click the link to see what all those colours are (guessing clover is a green of some sort... Lol).

What about the corset? Should I wear it or go without?

Wear the corset. A masquerade ball is crying out for a corset.
