Default Recommend me a Melbourne restaurant

We are in Melbourne for a holiday. We have a babysitter on Friday night.

Who wants to recommend me a good restaurant.....

We are staying in St Kilda, but happy to go to town or around fitzroy etc...

Not really familiar with St Kilda...

    But CBD suggestions;

    Chin Chin
    Red Spiced Road
    Cookie
    Mamasita

Have been recommended Graze on Grey in Grey St, St Kilda but haven't been myself.

What price range are you looking at?

Fitzrovia on Fitzroy street in St Kilda is nice. Donovan's and Stokehouse are on the beach in St Kilda and very good but pricier.

I have more but not sure if they're too pricey.

The ones listed above by PP are all great as well!

Cicciolinas in St Kilda is good too.

If you need more budget options just say as there are tons!

Price not an issue. Hit me with your best!! Haha.

We went to spice temple last night which was delish. Wanted to get back there as we went earlier this year with 6 friends.
Thinking of rockpool for dinner but we were wanting to try something different!! Don't mind if its budget and amazing or pricey and amazing. Really just looking for yummo food and good service.

DH went to rockpool with work and didn't think it was that great. I'm in love with Coda in the city, if you can get a sitting I definitely recommend that. Gingerboy is similar food and very good as well but I preferred Coda. Cumulus Inc doesn't take bookings so that may be good if you get there early enough or don't mind waiting. Cutler and Co. is good. And Estelle in Northcote is a new one that is great as well.

But if price isn't an issue and you can get a table I'd go Coda!

I did the degustation at Estelle a few months back and was really disappointed. Average food, tiny portions, stingy drinks and $230 per head!

The Smith on High St, Prahran is my current fave.

There are a few posh Mexicans around too if you like that.
