    Never been to one in a public area. But we are contemplating getting the kids one for Xmas. Not sure i want sand through my house though...

    I hate sand so avoid it as much as we can. Once DS sand from his clam shells and the extra sand i bought was gone, that was it. He plays in sand at school so there is always sand throughout the house and i hate it.

    We dont have sandpits at our local parks.

    But ds#2 plays in the sandpit at preschool and early intervention (he was scared of it and due to sensory issues would not touch it, but after a year of OT work he does) hooray.


    If it was at a park id say no. Both preschools over their sandpits at night...
    Sandpits are a cat magnet. Ew

    At home or someone's house I don't really care, but if its at a grotty feral park I won't encourage it!!

    We have a sand pit in our yard, but we also have a dog so never had the cat poo problem.

    The park just 2 mins from our house has sand.

    Here is another park we go to a lot. It has shade now and water sprayer.
