    Yay third trimester!!

started writing out my checklist for my hospital bags last night, made it feel so real.... The end is almost here!! And while I was having a mini panic attack that I have to give birth soon and be a mummy my DF had tears in his eyes as he just cannot wait to meet our daughter! so sweet.

on the topic of hospital bags, do any of the mummies on here have any good suggestions on what to pack that helped them?

Michelle a change of clothes for your partner esp if you plan to use the shower during labour. Drinks and snacks. Music. Camera. Comfy loose fitting pants and high cut underwear for first few days

Michelle, ural was a godsend. And heaps and heaps of underwear. I bled heaps while in hospital and went through numerous pairs of underwear, pants and pj pants each day. Lots of maternity pads ( I was putting 2 on at a time, to maximize the coverage)

In the birthing centre that I'm hoping to get into you are only in for 24hrs, would I have to bother packing much?

Just sitting looking at this gorgeous girl and I'm so happy. Can't believe 12weeks ago I was anxiously waiting to go into hospital to get induced. In 12 w she has grown 10.5cm and put on 2kg. I've gone from having huge supply issues to wondering if I need a bigger freezer. How things change.

I'm making my list now too. I've got:

    - lots of underwear that I can throw away
    - a big water bottle (hate those polystyrene cups at the hospital)
    - tops that I can feed in easily, and comfy pants
    - slippers
    - ural
    - maternity pads
    - breast pads
    - breast cream
    - snacks (I'm a snacker)
    - toileties

    Hmm what else?

Baby's bag will just have a going home outfit as I'll dress him in hospital clothes while there, plus some swaddle wraps, and my wrap carrier.

Gotta get a labour bag sorted too!

That will have comfy clothes, iPod dock, massage oil, snacks, water, container for placenta to go in, birth preferences and hospital documents, swimmers for dp and a change if clothes in case she gets wet or dirty, camera.
