Had my first OB appointment last night. All was fine. He was happy to see us, went back over Skye's results and said that there was something else found in my blood. I can't remember the full name, but again, he said it was nothing serious, and only a super small amount that probably wasn't the cause of death. Anyways, because of this factor, and the very small amount of anti nuclear antibodies, he suggested clexane injections. Basically he was saying that there's every chance I could carry on taking the baby aspirin, and have no issues, and if I just had one of these issues, (not that you can really cause it an issue coz I was such small amounts recorded on the tests...) he would be fine with just baby aspirin.... But with both, to go above and beyond to being this baby home, clexane would be an option. In other words, I don't need it, but just in case.
He also spoke about close monitoring from end of first trimester, and if I get to 30 weeks, I get a bronze medal, 32, silver, and 34 gold. And that there's no way he'd allow me to go full term...
It was really good that he stuck to everything he said he would next time we fell pregnant. Reassuring. He also said, a number of times, I will do anything and everything I can to keep this baby with us....
The only bummer thing was that his measurements put us back a couple of days, my calculations had us at 06/04, scan on Saturday was 05/04 but he's saying 07/04. In the grand scheme of things, what's a day or two, especially as I'll be induced in March anyways...

Anyways, reason for my post, has anyone in here been on Clexane injections? Just wanting to hear others experience so we can decide wjat to do or if theres any cons, etc. If we decide to go that path, he suggested carrying on with baby aspirin until about 15 weeks, then injections after that to whenever I want to stop or up until the end...

    Sorry for the long post!

Munchkin, your ob sounds lovely. That's great that he'll be monitoring you so closely. I really hope this pregnancy goes smoothly for you.

Channy, I hope the days until your scan go quickly. Hopefully you feel bub moving soon.

I'd check with your middie just for peace of mind MissF.

Munchkin, your Ob sounds great. No experience with clexane but I take 150mg of aspirin daily. You could ask the IVF ladies, a fair few have used clexane. All I know is it leaves quite big bruises but obviously is worth it for a healthy bub at the end xx
