    Default Christening or naming day?

This is currently my dilemma..dd3 is almost 2 and isn't christened. Our older two girls were christened in an Anglican Church but we are not church people. It was more to keep the family happy but we aren't really keen on christening dd3. We would like a naming ceremony but mil refuses to come unless its in a church and she's lovely and we get along fabulously however this is a sore point. .what would you do? ?Also if you had a naming ceremony what did it include? ?What made it special?

I had all my kids Christened in an Anglican Church that also does Naming Ceremonies, so you can have the church without all the religious stuff if you like..

I'm sorry your mil feels like that but you should do what you want to do. Naming ceremonies are lovely & very personal & unique to you & your partner, your baby & your older children too they can all play a part. I might be out of the loop with christenings as I've only been to a few, but they've kinda all been the same. Naming ceremonies are much better, providing your not christening because that's you religious beliefs.
