Default Progesterone pessaries - Where to buy them?

Hi Ladies, I've recently just discovered a cheaper place to buy these from and the info needs to be shared! IVF is expensive enough and when you have to use these for almost 3 months (if you get a BFP) it does get expensive. I was buying them from my local Chemist Warehouse, they charged me $198.00 for 30 pessaries. I had been buying these every week for the last three months, so it was adding up. Just last week they told me their supplier can't get anymore in, so i called my nurse at Monash IVF and she gave me the number for Greens Dispensary in Adelaide. They sent me 30 pessaries by express post ($12) and charged me just $74!!. That is a huge saving. I wish someone had given me this information earlier. I hope my post helps someone out there.

    Take care ladies

*Mods.. feel free to move this wherever appropriate

I was getting charged about $90 for 15 so that sounds right. The crinone is more expensive and was getting charged $195 by my clinic. The crinone is not available in many chemists. Also if you get printouts and receipts from the chemist etc I have been claiming then for out of pocket medical expenses.

KSpo - that a great find - so they will accept interstate scripts?

Sharlee - sorry i don't know about crinone.. never had to use it.

midnite - yes they accept interstate scripts. My nurse in Melbourne faxed it to them in Adelaide, and they posted it to me in Darwin! Been halfway around Australia lol. Do you claim the receipts from your private health cover provider? I have heaps of receipts but didn't know where to go.

You could maybe ask them if they sell crinone too. Anything is better than paying more than double.

There's a compounding chemist in western Sydney that accepts prescriptions via fax and they deliver Aust wide- Kingswood Compounding Pharmacy. I found them after reading this thread:

I just bought 60x 400mg pessaries and it cost me $150. The pharmacist said he's been getting orders from everywhere!

No, no upset tummy for me. Very bloated though (I did a natural FET so can't blame it on stim drugs).
