I when I first connected the electricity they took my card details and they didn't mention anything, but even when you go to put the details in on the Internet it comes up that HCC isn't accepted, then I rang to say WTF? And they said they don't take them. Rung a few days later just to triple check, got a different person and they said the same thing.

Wow some bills are so cheap! Our winter one was $617 for the quarter whereas the one before it was $400. I much preferred it!

Normally our power bills are around the $500 mark. That would have to be our biggest bill apart from rates. Our hot water system is solar but uses electric as a back up so I think that's why it's so big.

Electricity rates vary dramatically depending on which state you are in so you need to compare apples with apples. We live in SA (most expensive in Aus) we have gas boosted solar hot water, never use a heater or air con and dont have a clothes drier, yet ours are over $400

Just had a look, ours is between $130-$150 per quarter. 2 adults + toddler with me being at home every day

Our water & oven is on gas. No aircon/pool & we're in wa

Eta sorry, bills are every 2mths here, not quarterly
