Ours is ~$120 per quarter for two people.

We have gas too, which is another ~$230 per quarter..

So approx $1400 per annum for both electricity and gas

Ours is $600 a quarter. Me and DH. But we have two 8ft snake enclosures and a 6ft fish tank that are all set at 27 degrees...

Ours is approx $500 to 550 a quarter. That is with 2 adults and 5 kids. We use the washing machine and dryer at least once a day and 3 times on Saturday.
    How?

I haven't had a bill under $800 since moving here
Another thing I find odd is we don't have a heater (don't need one as you know) and are using our air on less then in summer yet my winter quarter is higher?!??

In bris we never had a quarter over $350.
Here my average is between 800-900 per quarter

Oh and ill add that's 2adults 2 small children. Don't have a dryer. We do a laud of washing a day and use the dishwasher once daily that's it really

We are moving in a week and our new house has solar hw and a 3.5?kw (I think) solar panel system. I have no idea what to expect for bills. There is no gas and we have a pool and spa so would guess we will use lots of power.
We have 8 panels and the inverter is 2kw. We're with Lumo. We get 66c per kilowatt back from them. Our house is small though. And we have solar water. Best thing to so is call around and see who will give you the best deal. Lumo was by far the best for gas and electricity for us, they give great discounts if you pay early too.

I have 14 panels - a 3.5kw system. Got it 2 weeks ago for $6000. However I will only be getting 17.9c a kw in ACT. I have underfloor heating which is VERY expensive. I'm expecting to save around $1000 a year. Wish I'd got in earlier when the rates were 66c. Those days are gone forever.

We are in Victoria and are with a Queensland company as of last week.
I think if you have a smart meter you should be able to do the same thing. Dont quote me on it though. That's DHs department!
