Default DH getting snip today. Feeling kind of sad. ..

As it says. DH had the snip today and I know its what we want I still fee l a bit sad about it. No more surprises as our third bubba was. I feel like a whole chapter of our lives is finished. I didn't expect to feel like this at all. On the plus side. At least we can DTD again...I've been too scared to after DS being the surprise he was!

Im making my dh get the snip. I think one day when theres nothing in the house baby related etc i'll feel a bit sad. But for us its the absolute best decision.

And the new chapter feels exciting to me!

I understand, DP had it done last year and I felt exactly the same. I was also a bit scared (he had a GA)...and then I felt guilty afterwards too, until he was completely better.

It's all good now - we're both really glad he's had it done, and it's so good not having to worry about contraception anymore. I'd been on the pill for so many years, it's nice to finally be off it.

It's funny, even though we're very much 'done', I still get sad when each little thing to do with the pregnancy/newborn phase ends - like when I finished BFing my youngest, when she moved out of the cot etc. I've given away a few things, like the change table but can't bring myself to give away the cot just yet lol
