Don't own and never have owned a dryer. It can be a pain to do washing when it rains constantly but we manage with a clothes horse.

I want to know how this happens too

We use a mix of line, two clothes horses and the dryer - totally depending on the weather and/or my mood.
Today I have a line full and the dryer going aswell so I can catch up.

Up to our 3rd kid I could manage most of our clothes to be lined dry and usually used it in the evenings to finish off clothes in the winter. But since my 4th baby in February I'm always using the dryer. DD3 wants to be carried all the time and it's easier to put clothes in the dryer with one arm and also this 1 baby creates so much washing.

If its sunny and we don't need anything in it straight away, then I hang clothes up on the line. If its rainy or we need it, it goes in the dryer.

Our housemate uses the dryer for everything....she hasn't hung up 1 load of clothes in over 4 months...

Line unless its raining. The dryer won't get poo stains out of my cloth nappies!

I dont have a dryer, we have two clothes horses.

We moved here 4 years ago and the three times ive used the clothes line a bunch of horrible happened

    1) brought clothes in as well as an angry wasp that was hiding in a tshirt
    2) a large beetle with big
Clipper things were in my jeans and bit me several times when i put my leg in
    3) orb spider also made its way in, in dh's sock

So i aint ever taking that route again!!!

I even use the line in winter if it's going to rain. Figure an extra rinse doesn't hurt.

My washing goes stiff on the washing line. I really love it when it happens! It has to be really hot and sunny so it dries super fast and not windy. I especially love a stiff bath towel!
