I haven't been to Plantation itself, but we stayed at Lomani next door which is kid free. All I can say is that it's a beautiful island!

    Hi,
I have stayed at Lomani which is the resort next door. I absolutely love it.
My friends go to plantation every single year and absolutely love it and they have a 6 year old and 2 year old and the kids love it.
THe kids can basically do everything and anything - def would say yes GO GO GO

Do you know what activities they have for a 2 yr old? I am worried as the kids club is only from age 4

No I don't sorry, it should be on their website or you should be able to email them and ask. Let me know as if not I can always ask my friend that goes there :-)

I haven't been to Planation but have been to Malolo and Castaway with an 18month old then 3 year old....she too was too young for the kids club but Fijians are sooooo accommodating.
We paid for our own babysitter ($5 an hour) who took with our daughter to the kids club so she didn't miss out.
Hunting for shells / sandcastles / also indoor stuff like building blocks etc to get out of the sun for a while.
    DD loved the ladies.
We had peace of mind that she wouldn't just wander off as she had 1:1care.

babysitters were great. We booked in to have one daily. We'd put DD down to nap and Va would sit outside our bure for hours whilst she slept. Meant we got relaxing dinners and couple time that we rarely get at home.
I assume all the islands would do the same.

You've inspired me! Just spent the past hour looking up flights and accommodation, it looks great.

Thanks all, I'm so tempted but worried that DS won't want to be left with a babysitter AND I am SO fussy about who I leave him with too. As any parent would be I'm sure. I have only heard good things though.

It's natural to worry. I was sure when DD saw us she'd cry and want to stay with us but nope....walked past holding Va's hand, smiled, waved and kept going!

Check out 'myfiji.com' we have just booked 7 nights in December at the Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa - it's a smaller older resort on the Coral Coast but for $4000 all inclusive (airfares, meals, accom, even drinks alcoholic and non) we can afford to do some awesome day trips etc.... The resort has great reviews on trip advisor oh and that $4k is for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids)
