One of the nurses said DS2 may have a tongue tie (he is 3 days old). This is yet to be confirmed by a pead. I wonder if they are just trying to find an excuse for his poor feeding.

A midwife told me DS1 had a tongue tie and the pead that time just laughed and said the midwife didn't know what she was talking about.

As a child I had a tongue tie. Didn't interfere with my feed but as I got older it started to hurt and I couldn't poke it out or say the " th" sound ( I said three as free). I had it cut under local at 9 years old. I only remember it hurting a little bit once the local wore off.

Show and tell that week was me being able to stuck my tongue out.
