He spoke to the toowoomba guy for ages and was sympathetic to the crap service jn the bush so next week going straight to their ed may be an option. I don't really want to go through with the assessment in Gympie now if I'm just going to be rejected and told to suck it up again.

It's not entirely the staff's fault, the cuts to funding in qld is atrocious.

    Sorry for causing a stir.
It's good you wear your heart on your sleeve and you share your feelings. It's especially important when you are in distress.

Wishing you a lovely weekend with your DH and your babies.

I don't doubt your DH will move heaven and earth for you if it comes to that.

Thinking of you, and hoping you get to have some fun with your DH and kids this weekend. Put on some good music and dance around the living room.

There's lots of people who care about you, never feel guilty for reaching out. (And I can't believe the guy at Gympie hospital had a whinge to you about beds!? Hello, time and place dude; whinge to your colleagues, not the people needing help!)

    Hope you're okay tonight.

Ffrenchie please if you feel that way and can't get hold of anyone know you are not alone, I am checking this thread hourly cos I am so worried about you and feel so useless I just want to help. Your honesty, the way you write, your strength makes me admire you so much and I will do anything I can to support you. Remember what I said in my pm. You are not alone

Can I also suggest something that helped me greatly through my darkest point and that was blogging.

I set up a blog and gave the address to the few people I knew I could trust to read over it but not mention anything written unless I was in danger (this was a condition of me giving it out also).

I used this blog to get out every single scattered rumblings going through my head at the time, post songs, poems, sayings, photos, it was my release.

Only once did a friend check in when I wrote things similar to you have written tonight.

    Just an idea xx

Thanks so much for caring everyone.

We've come up with a new plan. I think I'm going to go and stay in Brisbane with a friend for two weeks and see a private addiction specialist and get started on suboxone. Also access as many groups and meetings while I am down there and just have some space to think clearly about my ongoing outpatient therapy here at home.

Oh I think that sounds great! If you need anything in Brisbane or just a chat let me know There is a place called the hot house (mainly for alcohol) but they may be able to help with some contacts around Brisbane.
