Trying to get through to mental health intake officer at one of the hospitals an hour away. They can't guarantee me a call back before next week

I'm getting so down about this. I've ring three hospitals now and can't even get a call back. Dh is ringing another one now.

This might sound silly but with the work your DH does, wouldn't he know how to get you in or have any contacts in the hospitals?

Yeah he gets people admitted to toowoomba hospital all the time. They are people with sometimes less issues than me except they are all in domestic violence situations as well.

I have the number for the acute care team direct at RBH. I can message it to you if you like. Not sure if that is to far for you. I know you want something in your area but they may have contacts. Also there is Eating Disorders QLD who may know of something as well.

Dh just had a long chat to the guy at toowoomba, he said they would definitely take me but I have to go through the local hospital and they are really crap he basically said, they don't like to admit anybody at all, I couldn't even get a call back.

Ok, Just got a call from
Another hospital and will have an appointment next Wednesday but he went on and on how hospital beds are short and I wouldn't be admitted, I said I need and want help and there's no services where I am and he said 'well that's the bad luck about living In the bush.' Gee thanks.

I was wondering too. But yes, not really an option, hey. Are you feeling at the point of presenting at emergency? I'm sorry Ffrench, I wish I knew how to help!

I have been, next time I think i will.

Cherilee, thanks. I have most of the rbwh numbers here. When I was in hads earlier in the year, the social worker spent two days trying to help me find eating disorder services. It's so hard that all the services are so separate when you have multiple issues.
