Call them up and ask if they forgot to give the iPod back after the service.

Just pretend you thought they might have had to get into the glove box for some reason and totally understand if they needed to take the iPod out so it wouldnt go missing or get damaged and completely understand that they forgot to give it back and youre just giving them a friendly reminder.

They probably would have gone into glovebox for service manual and logbook as standard so I would ring and just say it how it is. Be clear that there was an iPod in glovebox and now its gone and you need to report it if its stolen but thought you just better check incase someone forgot to put it back in and it's laying around waiting for its owner. I would actually report it to police.

Either someone pinched it while getting serviced, or it fell out while they were getting the book. So who is reponsible? Its a nano, in a pink case. The pink plug cap is still in the glovebox.

Its at a dealer, we have to go back toMorrow to fix up the bill. Maybe they thought I wouldnt notice it gone. Its usually plugged into the lead I have from the radio into the glovebox, but dp unplugged it recently to put his iPod on.

When sending your car in they tell you or have a sign or something saying that possessions left in the car are not the responsibility of the company. I know it sucks but you might just end up eating it.

When you go back to pay the bill, pay it minus the amount of the iPod. What a scam if they think that putting the sign up saying no responsibilities of possessions left in car gives them the right to steal your iPod.

The only thing signed was the book in sheet starting dents and scratches on the car. I have never seen a waiver stating they can pinch whatever they like from your car. What if you had your wallet or sunnies in there? Fair game? Or car seats, they are expensive.

The ipod was worth more than the bill.

I have worked in a few dealerships. Ring and report it to the service manager. If he does not help ask to see the general manager. They keep a log of hwo worked on your car. That person will be spoken to.
