Seriously though, I think it's totally fine to acknowledge attractiveness- we're only human after all. But it becomes sexist when their physical attributes are placed above their intellect, skills etc
The point should also be raised that this is a magazine that has given the title, not somebody running for Prime Minister speaking about one of their candidates.

Ok. Some some people can talk about 'sex appeal', but others can't. Sorry, I was a bit confused.

Of course you can't see the difference...

ETA: I don't know about you but I'm not really looking to Cleo to be an appropriate judge of what is right for this country.

Why be so deliberately obtuse? You seem a relatively intelligent person- surely you can see the difference between a fashion mag proclaiming someone attractive and a candidate for the prime ministership discussing the sex appeal of a political candidate.

I don't think anyone would be too bothered if it had been Zoo mag saying, "10 of the hottest female politicians," or some crap. It'd be lame and we'd roll our eyes at the douches who produce that nonsense, but it's very different to a male political leader, your boss, suggesting one of the reasons you're worth voting for is that you've got sex appeal.

I don't think he went out his way to be sexist and offensive, that's just part of who he is.

Sassy has it right, Cleo run their hottest bachelors every year and while zoo and Ralph run similar contests (imo in a more tacky manner when the clothes are off and in provacative poses).

This is more akin to these sort of articles than TA commenting on one of his party's candidates attributes (although he did put her age and being feisty ahead of the sex appeal).
