Let's be honest, what a sh!t day!! It really sounds like one of those whatever can go wrong will go wrong, ones.

I hope things have settled for you somewhat tonight.

    You're doing a great job.

I hope tomorrow is better for you.

    Thanks for the support everyone.
In the end, i did give up on it all. I got another beer and went and layed on the floor (beer out of their reach!) with my little kids. I think that's all they wanted - time to hug and crawl all over their mum.
I did second guess the 'cracking a beer at 3pm' thing haha oh well. I went and got DH and i takeaway and we had a relaxed night infront of the tv.
DH came home and helped out, alot. He put the kids to bed, did the dishes and ds's bottles.
it was a on off day, im not usually so tired and overwhelmed.
As a pp said it was one of those days where if everything could go wrong, it would!
DH is home today so i'll be able to catch up on everything.

That's really good to hear. I've had those days / weeks / months! It all becomes the same after a while! You sound you like you have an awesome & supportive husband & I'm glad you got time last night to chill & be together that helps soooo much. It reminds us why we go through it in the first place. As far as drinking at 3 in concerned, I've had my saving wine at lunchtime before! Int defense it felt like 7pm at night to me( which is when I usually have a glass with dh) It was only once under the same circumstances as you, but I just needed 5 mins to myself & to be myself again & relax! No harm done. Your doing a terrific job keep up the great work!

    Haha "it's 5o'clock somewhere' right?
Yep my DH is a sure keeper, i did send him an abusive text in the heat of the moment that said someting along the lines of "i dont have time to cook dinner...they wont leave me alone......i stepped in pee, pee is everywhere....get home now and help me....".
So at least he knew what he was coming home to haha.

Make sure you sit down and have a hot coffee too - preferably in a place that doesn't allow children!

Yes! And grab yourself a trashy magazine to read whilst you enjoy that coffee :-)
