Wow. That makes it even sadder imo. She asked for help, from her and didn't get it? So freaking tragic.

****, that is even more tragic - and she told her mother and foster mother that she wasn't coping!

There is nothing about this case that isn't utterly heartbreaking.

She didnt really try that hard to get help. Mentioning she wanted help to her alcoholic foster mother wasn't the best plan. If she had told a doctor or child services herself then I might believe she was serious about wanting help.

Some people really struggle to ask for help. I know that I personally do. If I actually asked someone for help and honestly said that I was not coping, that would personally be huge for me. Normally I get to meltdown point and DH or somebody forces help upon me.

So maybe for this person, asking her alcoholic foster mother was a huge step for her.

She did try, just because it wasn't to the 'right' person doesn't mean she wasn't serious.

I disagree. She could have and should have tried harder. Depression is no excuse:

This whole case is so upsetting. I do see the mother as a victim too.

It doesn't seem like she poses a threat to society to me, so maybe that is why her sentence was fairly lenient.

I really hope she gets some proper help. I can't imagine having to grieve your children whilst being responsible for their death. Horrifying stuff.
