Agree rachell. The posts with articles full of incorrect information get my blood boiling. Especially when they have a judgemental overtone or have 'please don't comment of you disagree' in the tag line.Have to bite my tongue all the time! I think it makes people look as though they're trying to be superior and falls into the bragging category.

The 'line between sharing and bragging' exists entirely in the mind of the person READING the post.

How they interpret it is entirely up to them, and actually no one elses problem but their own!

Share whatever the heck you want, it's YOUR FB page isn't it????

When there is a 'comparison' with other kids (explicit or implicit)that's when I think a post is knobby.

Fine: "look at my daughters painting I'm so proud"
Knobby: "look at my daughter painting, she is so advanced for her age."

Bad spelling and grammar on FB annoys me far more than "bragging"!

I've got a facebook friend, she posts beautiful pictures of where they have moved, she tags photos of her and her husband doing incredible things, she always seems happy and pleased.

On the other hand - I have others who seem to be bragging. I can't tell exactly what it is - but there is a differences - tone maybe?

I think there's people that brag... because what they say is almost certainly embellished BS.

Mostly, I don't care if people brag. I enjoy rolling my eyes at their constant attention-seeking. It's less annoying that ENDLESS "woe is me," posts several times each day, vague-booking or "I'm so fat," accompanied by a pic of the girl duck-facing in her bikini. Um... because if you think you're revolting, the first thing you want to do is pose in a bikini online? (Although I've done similar for a weight loss surgery blog, I fell the context is a wee bit different... lol).

I like to share my joy when I've had an amazing day at work, or how proud I am of DD or something. I don't care if people think it's bragging. Sometimes you just have stuff to brag about. I think so long as that's not ALL you post, then who cares?

While I know it's different, to others it's the same pain. But I don't see why someone is allowed to be hurt by baby news when going through IVF and others can be hurt by a sleeping baby post when they are up all night..

To me I don't really care about status. If I'm annoyed by someone's constant post about the same thing, I block them from my newsfeed or unfriend them if not close. I don't have time to get stressed out by Facebook status!

People in both situations are allowed to be hurt but that doesn't mean it's the fault of the poster, nor does it mean people should stop posting about it.
