Yep, I was going to say ground beans all the way- then you can try lots of different brands and you aren't limited by pods. Also, much more economical. I have a Delongi expresso style one where you pack the ground beans into the thingy like cafes do, turn it on and the coffee comes out into the cup. It come with 2 sizes of dispenser. There is a spout to warm up milk too. Ours is 8 years old and has been used for at least 4 coffees a day. I think you can get one for around $200-250. I love it so much... Great idea for Fathers' Day gift.

We got a MAP Bella coffee pod machine from Harvey Norman (coffee is yummy Italian and you can also buy the pods from officeworks and target) it was under $200 and we love it. Not much cleaning required either.

I bought this last Friday and returning it today. I found that the water doesn't heat up enough. The frother doesn't warm up the milk enough...and makes more frother than hot milk. Abd tge coffee after a few mins goes warm!!

I've just visited a friend who has a delonghi percolator, which she thinks is great! I think i'll give a percolator a go. Apparently i can get one for one or two cups, and i can do my own beans too. So that's where i'm headed. Thanks for all your input, i really appreciate it
