    Default Which coffee machine??

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot....I am terrible at finding anything but 'new posts' usually

So with Fathers Day coming up, my boys and I would love to get DF a coffee machine for the occasion. He loves a good coffee. I no longer drink coffee, and have absolutely no idea about the pod things or which machines are good. My budget is less than $200.....hit me up with your thoughts ladies.....

I got a de longhi magnificent (spelling?) for Mother's Day & I love it. Pretty much all automatic & self cleaning easy peasy just add beans & water & your good too go. I don't know price though but the coffee is perfect every time & one button push (idiot proof in my case). Highly recommend.

I dont drink coffee either so not sure what the coffee is like! Its a good all-rounderrather than just do coffee just dont tell the kids

With a budget of less than $200 I'd be inclined to buy second hand

Otherwise something like the Sunbeam Cafe series (you do all the work, not a pod machine)

Aldi pod machine is ok, but after nespresso machine I personally think the aldi machines do not compare at all.

Look at any Jura machines second hand

These machines are worth over $800

Thanks ladies! So does better tasting coffee come from the pods or the beans in a machine?

I think it depends on taste honestly. I prefer beans but my nespresso was awesome!

If he is serious about his coffee, get a percolator- $12 from Kmart; then get fresh coffee from a reputable roaster. Pods cannot compare.

Love our neapresso pixie, I paid a lot for ours but picked one up for dad for Father's Day (he already has it though!) for $129 after cash back.

He has a beans machine where he has to find the beans first but never used it during the week because it took too long. Now he can quickly make a coffee an have it on the bus on the war to work. Mum said they have saved a bit of money as he isn't buying a coffee everyday.

eta- grind the beans nor find them

He does enjoy a real coffee, I think the beans might be the go.
