    Congratulations!

It's expensive but Grandpa and Glamma bought me a Bugaboo Cameleon as a gift and I adore it!!!! The bassinet is currently used as a portacot when we are away from home.

Also, my capsule clips into it so I don't have to wake the baby when moving her from/to the car.

I am sure there are also many cheaper prams that are great, if price is a factor perhaps consider a secondhand one from Ebay?

Forgot to add, I bought a secondhand cot from Ebay - a Boori sleigh style one and it is lovely with not a mark on it. I would have preferred a new one but couldn't justify the cost.

I bought a secondhand Stokke Care changetable from Ebay too and it is brilliant.

If you are ok with secondhand Ebay or Gumtree have loads of great items.

Personally I have not had the need for a bassinet.

We also bought a second hand cot (Leander) for 1/3 of the RRP price in perfect condition. Definitely look around, baby stuff can't be used for long so everyone is trying to get rid of stuff.

With the pram, it's hard to take others opinions as it depends on what functionality you need. Suggest doing some research (online & in store - you'll rule out heaps the second you push one) and then looking for user reviews. We settled on the Bugaboo Cameleon pram after A LOT of research. It was that or a Baby Jogger City Mini GT which I also rate highly, but the style and functionality of the Cameleon won in the end. We got it on special for hundreds of dollars off the RRP.

I'm was keen for the capsule system to avoid waking baby & avoid putting them in a hot car seat in summer. Again, you can get seats in very good condition 2nd hand.

    Pays to hunt for bargains!
