Default How to fix hole in plastic tummy tub????

Ok all you handy Mummies, I need your expertise!!!

Just got my Tummy Tub in the post (ok, not mine, it's for my LO and anyway, there is no way I would fit!!!)

In my haste and excitement unwrapping it I managed to drop it straight onto the corner of the open kitchen drawer and punched a great big hole in it. And the hole is down the bottom end near the base.....

Sooo, I'm thinking a bit of gaffa tape over the hole on the outside and inside of the tub? Anyone have any theories on how to patch the hole so the thing will be waterproof/baby kicking proof?

Maybe a bit of silicon (or putty or both)...
