I am new to this forum, turned 34 in May.

I have had severe endo and had two Laps's for removal, plus ongoing use of the pill to control symptoms - but have been off it for over 18 months.

So far my TTC journey has not been successful with two MC's in May @ 5w and August @ 7w. So now I am waiting for AF to return. I haven't exactly been leaving our TTC'ing to fate - I take topical Progesterone Cream, Vitex, Bee Propolis, Maca Powder, Prenatal Multi, Fish Oil, Lysine, Iron and Probiotics. When we BD we use Maybe Baby Gel. Plus I have made some dietary changes including switching to decaf and generally gluten free.

So as you can see my problem is not getting a BFP is is keeping it that way.

I am fed up with the whole process and the fact that everyone around us always asks when we are having kids - seriously it's rude to ask!!!!

I have booked my first Acupuncture session for tomorrow morning - scared of needles so this is going to be interesting. Plus I have booked a consult with my specialist for endo who is also a FS for mid September.

Sorry for the essay. Just wanted to share my story and hope to get to know the members of this forum a bit better.
I had a miscarriage before falling pregnant with my son. They are do heart breaking. I hope you get some answers with your fs next month and then your bfp very soon.

    Does gluten free diet help?

Hi, so had my first session today. It was interesting, she said I had a congestion problem in my uterus and cold feet/hands which was a general circulation issue. Very short Acupuncture session, only 8 needles (I think) and then some Moxibustion. I did leave with some herbs just had them now, they are certainly not the worst thing I've tasted but not great either. She also advised me DH should be taking Zinc and Vit E and eating Goji Berries for the swimmers. Until AF comes back she is taking a more general approach to the situation. I have to say since the session I do feel like I have more energy?

To answer cheekychook's question I have been told by a number of natural therapists that gluten plays a part in Endo and can effect fertility. The person today didn't say anything about it.

With the sperm meets egg method - I guess thats we do, I wait for my AF to finish and then we BD every second day until O and then a day after in case I am slightly off. This is what the FS told us to do. Everyday can be too much for DH as the swimmers may not be able to keep up.

What on earth is Moxibustion Rae?!!

I had my pills today but couldn't bring myself to drink the herbs. Need to get it done!! I have to take everything for 5 days then have a two day break. Are you the same?

hello, i hope it is alright to join this thread. i'm 34 and my dh is 27. i joined this forum 2011 when i got back a low test score on an amh test that was offered at a routine gyne check up. soon after dh and i went to a fs and started some tests and talking, but it all was happening so fast and too overwhelming, plus dh and i have a health issues so we didn't continue. now that i am 34 we are ready. i've come off medication that i needed to and just had routine checkups. my amh actually was so much higher!

dh is still a bit hesitant and truthfully, i'm a bit nervous too b/c maybe we'll never feel completely ready! anyway, just want to start looking around the forums again and jump in head first now. i am trying to figure out the lingo and ovulation stuff so i can plan our upcoming days. my period is ending soon, so we're going to try in a few days hopefully. really excited, but whatever happens, happens. wishing everyone the best!

Hey sydbubba DH and I are not completely ready either and I don't think you can be really ready for it.. We would have waited longer if I was younger, but also other circumstances in our lives have changed and we are jumping in to it. We are moving interstate for two years and my work has a very generous maternity leave package where I will be paid for one year and the job will be held for me for up to two years so rather than me quit my job we have decided to give this a try rather than wait one more year when we definitely want kids anyway!

This is my first cycle also.. Good luck!!! x

That looks interesting Rae! Never hear of it before. Fingers crossed it gets you your BFP

I finally took my morning herbs yesterday at night! They didn't seem quite as awful as the day before so hopefully I am acquiring a tolerance for them.

Positive OPK's for me Friday and yesterday, with a temp rise this morning so looks like I have O'd now time to enter that two week wait....

    Welcome Syd!

I don't think many people ever feel 100% ready (well I certainly didn't..) got to a point with age though that I thought I really shouldn't put it off any longer.

Any now after nearly 10 months of TTC unsuccessfully I am glad we started the journey when we did.

    Good Luck!!
