Just full blood tests atm, ordered by my GP. We're still investigating FS options though, so I might have more in depth testing later (e.g. I'm thinking maybe my cervix or uterus are weirdly shaped or something). At least with everything looking normal in the hormone department (for me) & with swimmers (for DH) we should have luck with IVF if needed... unless DH's swimmers & my eggies are just incompatible somehow?

Funchu that's great news (but frustrating too I can imagine!). If you do have to go to IVF, having healthy eggs & sperm has got to be a really good start.

Hope you find some more answers soon xo

Do u know what specific blood tests ur gp ordered? I can send u a list of all the tests I had done if u like & u could ask ur gp to order them for u? I have seen two different specialists and they both ordered a whole heap of tests that the gp didnt. Your gp can request them for u tho. Maybe u could get some more in depth tests done from ur gp if u take a list to him of what u want tested? Also has ur DH done 1 or 2 semen analysis done? My DH has done 2 as they say u dont get a true result unless 2 or 3 tests r done & if they all have similar results then its accurate. Both fs told me at least 2 tests need to be done to confirm normal or abnormal results. Maybe he could do another test? Have u had an AMH blood test done to check ur egg reserve or an ultrasound to check how many follicles u have? These are all simple tests that can be ordered by a gp and are non invasive. At least then if u see a fs in the future they will have more to work on ive seen multiple gps and I dont find they r very thorough at all unless u request them urself!

Funchu - I'm sorry you didn't get an answer. It's tough not knowing "why".

Don't forget though... You've got all of us here to help you through it!

    Hello ladies!

I'm back after my surgery (cyst near my tailbone that had to be removed - nothing major!). Have had two weeks recovery, but I'm still waiting for my external stitches to be removed, so don't think I'll be allowed to DTD as yet. Especially considering I've only been allowed to bend and sit for 3 days!

Seeing my specialist (surgeon) on the 19th for a 3 week post-op visit and hopefully will be given the all clear to start trying again.

Before I found out 2.5 weeks ago that I needed surgery, my FS said he wanted me to do another round of OI and if that fails then try a different method.

I'm currently doing OI (Ovulation Induction) via Leterozole (Femara). Anyone hazard a guess as to what the next step options for me could be? Do you think more ovulation prompting attempts or straight to full IUI/IVF?

Hi Shrillian! Welcome back. Hope your recovery continues to go well and you get your sticky BFP soon

I wouldn't know what the next step would be for you, but the fact that you had a BFP (even though it didn't stick) is surely a good sign? Hopefully the next round is the lucky one!

Thank you! Yes, that would be the ideal scenario!

Going to keep soldiering on and call the FS as soon as this Specialist says I'm back to normal (or on the way to be).
